Merry Christmas

A merry Christmas to all W6 readers who celebrate it, and to those who don't, may you endure its excesses in peace.  See you in a few days.  In the meantime, let us know what books you got.  And has anybody figured out an adequate way to wrap an ebook?

The Funnies - Hmmm

Not a bad haul. This (gigantic) collection is my introduction to Eisenberg!

Happy holidays, and thanks for the gift of daily posts.

Raymond Carver: Collected Stories (Library of America)! It's just a beautiful, beautiful book, especially when you take off the dust jacket.

There may be more...haven't had a chance to exchange all the gifts yet.

Merry Christmas!

I had a feeling there were more:

Super Sad True Love Story
Stories (edited by Neil Gaiman and Al Sarrantonio)
3/03 by Chuck Wachtel
Tinkers
Boston Noir

Tinkers will be my next one to read!

Let me know what you think of the Shteyngart. I have a review of it in the new LRB--I loathed his first two books but actually quite liked this one.

Rat Girl, Kristin Hersh's memoir. Plus, her newest music, Crooked, comes in book form - a small hard cover with beautiful photos, lyrics, essays and inspiration. A secret code in the book gets you all the music downloads and some other digital content. Neato.
